Man Hospitalized After Bicycle vs. Truck Crash Friday in Warrenville

The crash happened just after midnight, police said. Here are more details.

One man remains hospitalized Friday after he was injured in a bicycle vs. truck crash in Warrenville, police said.

A semi-truck traveling southbound on Route 59 at Continental Drive was struck by the man on a bike. The crash occurred at 12:07 a.m. Friday, according to a Warrenville police press release.

"The bicyclist suffered major injuries and was transported to Cadence Hospital, in Winfield, where he remains," the release said. "No further information on the semi-truck driver or the bicyclist is being released at this time."

The Warrenville Police Department would like anyone that witnessed the crash to call 630-393-2131, and speak with Detective Sergeant Jacobson. The investigation into the crash continues.
