Authorities Arrest Suspects, 21 and 14, for Thefts in Wheaton, St. Charles Stores

Three West Chicago residents suspected of multiple burglaries at Targets in St. Charles and Wheaton.

A West Chicago man and teen face charges of burglary at the Wheaton and St. Charles Target stores after a two month St. Charles police investigation, police said Wednesday.

Police charged Edgar R. Aguilar, 21, of West Chicago, and a 14-year-old West Chicago youth with burglary in Kane County Wednesday. Warrants for a third adult offender have been issued. They have been charged with Burglary, a Class 2 Felony.

According to a police report Target loss prevention personnel filed a series of police reports for burglary. Target officials turned over surveillance footage which showed three individuals remove Nintendo DS games and expensive headphones out of their packages and conceal the electronics in their clothes.

Officials at the St. Charles Target shared the description of the suspects with other area stores. Similar thefts were reported at the Wheaton Target store and video at that store showed the same three men, according to the police report.

Police personnel from St. Charles and Wheaton were assisted by West Chicago Police investigators who were able to identify the suspects. Interviews were conducted with the three offenders and they were first charged by the .
