What Should Open in the Former 'It's Our Earth' Space?

Patch readers have responded to our new weekly feature, "Visions for Vacancies," with ideas of what should open in vacant spaces in Wheaton.

It's Our Earth, an "eco-tique" shop closed at 125 N. Main St. in downtown Wheaton, and is now for sale with another building on the lot for $499,000, according to the Downtown Wheaton Association website.

Patch's new feature, "Visions for Vacancies," asks readers to share their ideas about what should fill vacant spaces in Wheaton. A major focus of the city right now is developing a strategic and streetscape plan for the downtown area, and they're looking to the residents for input (You can also post comments to Wheaton's MindMixer site, developed for the strategic vision).

Last week, we recapped our first six weeks of the feature. Before then, we asked: What should Open n the Ron's TV Building?

  • What Should Open at Main St. and Liberty Dr.?
  • What Should Open in the Old Adelle's Restaurant Space?
  • The Wheaton Grand Theater building
  • Or, 124 N. Hale St.

Whether it's a new restaurant, a Gap or something completely new, we want to hear what businesses you'd most like to see take over at the corner of Hale Street and Liberty Drive in downtown Wheaton.
