Local Woman Receives Soroptimist GED Grant

Sanjuana Rodriguez of Wheaton received a GED Grant from Soroptimist International of Suburban Chicago.  Sanjuana impressed the judges with her determination to get the GED certificate so that she could attend courses at a local college.  She never had the opportunity to attend school but made sure that others learned to appreciate the value of education.

Sanjuana was unable to attend the 24th Annual Awards Celebration in May, so the Soroptimists brought the celebration to her.  The presentation was made later in June at the Peoples Resource Center in Wheaton.  Friends and coworkers were able to share in the excitement as she received the Soroptimist GED Grant award certificate and check.  Congratulations Sanjuana!
