Adopt Me! Missy and Anastacia Seek Purrfect Homes

Every week Patch will share information on pets waiting for homes at area animal shelters.

This week we bring you two pets looking for homes at DuPage County Animal Care and Control. We welcome other animal shelters to contact us to participate in this weekly column. To participate, contact Local Editor Mary Ann Lopez.

Anastacia is a 2-1/2 year old domestic shorthair who lost her home because of allergies. She is a sweet and petite cat with big green eyes. She is very stressed here and fearful of the other cats, so she stays in her cage where she feels safe. She doesn't have much of an appetite and is sleeping a lot. But she happily wakes up when someone wants to pet her. Petting is one of Anastacia’s favorite things. Or is it people? Actually it's both! She’s very playful and friendly. Cute, cuddly and cheerful too! She just needs to get out of the shelter and into a forever home of her very own where she can blossom.

Missy is a Labrador-German shepherd mix that is three-months old. She’s still a puppy and ready for a new home. Stop in to see Missy or any of the other pets that are available.

The DuPage County Animal Care and Control is located at 120 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton. The hours of operation are Monday and Thursday 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Contact them by phone at 630-407-2800 or visit online
