William J. 'Jack' Brady, 87, Sep. 19, 1925 - Feb. 10, 2013

Visitation for William "Jack" Brady of Wheaton will be held on Friday, February 15, from 4pm to 8pm, at Hultgren Funeral Home.

William John “Jack” Brady, 87, a resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2013, following a brief illness.

Jack was born September 19, 1925, in Chicago. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marsha, and his first wife, Terry Brady. Jack’s brother is Patrick Brady (Carol). His children and step-children include Mike Brady (Sue), Pat Brady (Jill), Sharon Brady, Megan Brady (Ian), Kevin McPherson (Barb), Tim McPherson, Curt McPherson (Susan), Kelly Bliss (Steve) and Buck McPherson (Joanne); he is also survived by 22 grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Madeline, his brother, Bernie, and his grandson, Ryan.

After growing up on Chicago’s South Side (Parker High School, Class of 1944), Jack was a Realtor in DuPage County for 50 years. He was a charter owner of the Century 21 franchise in Northern Illinois. In addition, he was a long-time real estate license instructor at College of DuPage and with the Chicago Board of Realtors.

Jack greatly enjoyed dancing, sports, the White Sox, Lake Delavan sunsets, and free-wheeling conversations. He was a leader and active supporter of Cub and Boy Scouts. Jack was also instrumental in creating the Glen Ellyn Girls Softball League.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, from 4pm to 8pm, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Wheaton, IL (630-668-0027). Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 16, at 10am , at St. Petronille Catholic Church, 420 Glenwood, Glen Ellyn, IL.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the People's Resource Center, 201 S. Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60187. Condolences for the family can be made online at Hultgrenfh.com.
