Visitation is Friday for Robert Guild

Visitation for Robert Guild of St. Charles, formerly of Wheaton, is Friday, May 13.

Robert Guild of St. Charles, formerly of Wheaton, died Monday, May 9, at Brighton Gardens in St. Charles. He was 91. 

He was born November 19, 1919 in Geneva. He was the captain of the varsity football team at Wheaton High School the year the team won the championship in 1937. He served in the Air Force during World War Two. He then worked for Durable Construction Company in Wheaton. He was the owner and operator of the Guild Realty Co. in Wheaton.

He is survived by a sister, Dorothy; five daughters, Lynn, Dede, Merry, Cheryl and Kim; seven grandchildren, Cheri, Terri, Jorge, Natalia, Naomi, Joseph and Kaleigh; and 12 reat-grandchildren, Alex, Brandon, Jacob, Taylor, Andre, Natia, Tyler, Carter, Antoine, Olivier, Chloe and Eloise.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; granddaughter, Ana; two brothers, Donald and Arthur; and three sisters, Marion, Lucille and Eleanor.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14.
