Roy Hendricksen, 93, Feb. 21, 1918 - Apr. 4, 2011

Visitation for Roy Hendricksen will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Apr. 8, at Hultgren Funeral Home.

Roy James Hendricksen of Wheaton died Monday, Apr. 4, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was 93.

He was born February 21, 1918 in Chicago. He graduated from Calvin Park High School and entered the Army. He served during World War Two as part of a heavy automotive repair company. After the war, he was a machinist. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Mildred and loved being a grandfather. He was a lifelong, diehard Cubs fan.

He is survived by daughters, Linda (Erv) Spevacek of Victoria, MN and Betty (Jeff) Nikolich of St. Charles; six grandchildren, Nathan (Christie), Amanda and Tracy Spevacek, and Jen, Jason and Ryan Nikolich; and a great-grandson, Mason Spevacek.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred in 1991; and his brother, Harry in 1992.

A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Hultgren Funeral Home.
