Raymond Ostermeier died in Wheaton Saturday, Aug. 6. He was 90.
Raymond W. Ostermeier of Wheaton died Saturday, Aug. 6 at Wynscape Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheaton. He was 90.
He was born February 4, 1921 at home in Cumberland, IN.
He graduated from New Palestine High School in 1939, where he met Marjorie Tongret, whom married February 14, 1942. In July of 1942 he joined the Navy, serving on a transport plane during WWII. He began a 35 year career with AT&T in 1947 working in Indianapolis and Chicago.

He was active with the Gary United Methodist Church and the Kiwanis Club of Wheaton.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Robert and Maurice; a daughter, Janet; five grandchildren, Cindy, Jennifer, Kendra, Mackenzie, and David; and three great-grandchildren, Anna, Jonah and Aida.

He was preceded in death by his brother Vernon.
A memorial visitation was held Wednesday, August 10 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
