Paulene B. Montgomery, 95, May 27, 1915 - March 27, 2011

In the Wheaton area, she was a member of the Woman's Club and enjoyed painting, ceramics, reading and other activities.

Paulene B. Montgomery died on March 27, 2011, at Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, Ill.

Paulene was born on May 27, 1915 to Fred V. and Estella Mae (Foreman) Milner in Brook, Ind. She graduated from A. J. Kent High School in Kentland, Ind. and lived in that area for many years. She was co-owner, with her husband, of a local business before their retirement. Since 1984, she resided primarily in the Wheaton area, with three years spent in Phoenix, Ariz.

In the Kentland area, Paulene was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, taught Sunday school, and was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. In the Wheaton area, she was a member of the Woman’s Club and enjoyed painting, ceramics, reading and other activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wildasin Montgomery, her parents and five brothers and sisters: Russell L. Milner; Violet I. Grant; Robert D. Milner; Thelma M. Malone and Mary LaVergne Sladek.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Montgomery.

A private service will be held at the Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30. Interment will be at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Kentland, Indiana.
