Visitation for Danielle Duran, a Winfield native and Wheaton North graduate, will be Saturday, Feb. 16, at Faith Baptist Church in Winfield.

Danielle Duran, age 28, a resident of Winfield, IL, died Friday, February 8th, 2013, in Greensboro, NC. She was born November 24, 1984 in Winfield, IL and graduated from North Central College in 2007 with degrees in Broadcast Communication and Spanish.

She attended Wheaton North High School where her many talents and interests flourished. She was an active member of the cheerleading squad, dance team, show choir, gymnastic and speech teams in addition to sharing a joy for riding horses, camping at her family’s cottage in Wisconsin and attending youth group at Faith Baptist Church. She was also fortunate enough to have traveled the world; studying abroad in Spain during college as well as taking many trips with family and friends. She touched the lives of many with her vivacious personality and ability to brighten a dreary day.

She was loved by far more than she ever realized, and will be deeply missed by all. Her passion for her friends and family paled only in comparison to her tenacity and will to succeed. Although her time was cut short in this world, we take comfort in the many memories we shared with Danielle and the knowledge that we will be reunited with her one day in heaven.

She is survived by her parents, Eddie and Janet Duran, and sister, Diana Duran.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, where she was a long time member. The church is located at 27W010 Parkway Dr., in Winfield, IL. Interment is private.
