Bettye Frunzar’s final journey began just before daybreak, her favorite time of the day on Monday, Jan 13, 2014 at her home.  Her loving daughter, Penny Frunzar and caring son-in-law, Charlie Briegel of Batavia, Ill., were by her side along with a hospice care-giver to guide her way.  From “across-the-pond” wishing Grandma a peaceful journey was her beloved grandson, Hunter John Briegel, currently a graduate international law student studying abroad.  Greeting Bettye on her path to peace was her benevolent husband, John Frunzar, devoted pets Peek-A-Boo, Tommy-Come-Home, Tippy, and Pepper, her mother Cora Mae Wilson, father John Wilson, brother Harold John Wilson and many friends commemorating her long courageous life.  She will also be missed by her step-children Janice (Frunzar) Brown, James Frunzar, John Frunzar, and Jeanie (Frunzar) Bartlet and all their children.

Bettye walked tall throughout life.   As her legs tired, her spirit did not. Bettye was a constant role model of strength for us all to incorporate into our lives.  She maintained the will to keep giving life another go; the strength to bite down hard and get thru the difficult times to the other side.  She will be missed greatly, but her lovely smile, a quick wit, and strong spirit is forever with us; forever young.  She taught us to enjoy the simplest pleasures of life.
