Obituary courtesy of Williams-Kampp Funeral Home:

Betty Cahill nee Binger, a lifelong resident of Glen Ellyn and Wheaton, died January 10, 2013 at age 89.

She was the much loved wife of William R.; loving mother of Anne Cahill (Paul Roach), W. Robert III (Suzanne), James, Patricia (Kurt) Riemer, Joan (Scott) Hamer, Maureen (Gary) Pratscher and Kathleen (Mark) Jensen; grandchildren are Kevin (Laura) Cahill, and Megan (Justin) Bauer, Samson (Stephanie) and Madelyn Cahill, Erik (Ly), Heather and Amy Riemer and Sara (Nik) Burt, Alison, Neal and Katelyn Hamer, Daniel, Jennifer, Lindsay and Steven Pratscher, and Martin, Patrick and Kelly Jensen; seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Betty and Bill were married Oct. 18, 1947 in St. Petronille Church, Glen Ellyn. They moved to Wheaton in 1948. Betty was the consummate mother of a large family, her memory book being replete with photos of first days in kindergarten and college graduations, family gatherings for 30 or more and cookie baking sessions with grandchildren. Equally pleasurable were bridge and definitely inexpert golf with a host of friends, Elderhostels in this country and abroad and volunteer work with local institutions. Patience and self-sacrifices were her lifelong bywords.

Visitation was Sunday at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton (1 blk. East of Naperville Rd.). Funeral home prayers Monday 9:15 a.m. and then to St. Michael Church, Wheaton. Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Michael Cemetery.
