Have Questions about Diabetes? Want to see a Great Movie for free?

Free movie and health advice at Studio Movie Grill in Wheaton

I am again excited to partner with Studio Movie Grill in Wheaton to help address health topics important to the Wheaton community and beyond.

On Thursday, September 6th at 6:30 pm my colleagues and I will be available to answer questions concerning diabetes after a free screening of the movie Steel Magnolias at the Studio Movie Grill Theater in Wheaton. The film is based on the play of the same name written by Robert Harling. The film and play focus on the plight of six women in the South and how they come together following the tragedy that they face when their lives are forever changed by diabetes.

Diabetes is a burgeoning epidemic that many people deal with every day. What is important to know is that though it can be controlled, it also can impact a person’s quality of life and possibly kill someone who doesn’t take it seriously.  Early detection and prevention are key and to do this, one needs to raise public awareness of the condition.
