Even with a $5 million minimum bid, the Hubble property still failed to generate any qualified bidders at the May 16 public auction. Only one person signed in, and he did not bring the required earnest money, so the auction closed with no bids. The Wheaton Park District apparently agrees that the property is worth less than $5 million, as it chose not to participate in the auction at all.
