LGBTQ Alumni of Wheaton College Host First Homecoming Event

OneWheaton announces homecoming event and concert in Glen Ellyn next week.

, an organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) alumni of , will host its first Homecoming event in Glen Ellyn next Friday, Oct. 7. 

The event features Grammy-nominated Christian music artist and out lesbian Jennifer Knapp, who will perform a free concert for students at , 393 Main Street, Glen Ellyn.

Since April, more than 600 LGBTQ alumni and allies of Wheaton College have voiced their support for gay students, telling them "it gets better." The group became public after members attended "Sexuality and Wholeness," a chapel talk at the college according to OneWheaton Spokeswoman Kristin Winn.
