Documentary Features Organization that Supports LGBTQ Wheaton College Students

OneWheaton, an organization of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) Wheaton College alumni, is featured in the documentary, "Let Your Light Shine."

A documentary in the works will feature the stories of Wheaton College alumni who felt alone and afraid as students at the evangelical Christian school, and their efforts to support current students who might be dealing with similar feelings.

The documentary, "Let Your Light Shine," is about OneWheaton, the organization comprised of LGBTQ Wheaton College alumni and alumni supporters that formed last spring to support LGBTQ students after the college was ranked as one of the country's "least gay-friendly" schools and after a speaker at one of the college's chapel series, "Sexuality and Wholeness," supported gay celibacy.

In the documentary members of OneWheaton talk about their experiences as Wheaton College students and the feeling of going to the school to distribute its letter of support for LGBTQ students on campus.
