Chicago Rush Players Pack Wheaton Sandwich Shop

Chicago Rush Arena League football team invaded Jersey Mike's Subs in Wheaton Monday afternoon after practice.

The Chicago Rush Arena League football team stormed Jersey Mike's Subs in Danada Square East this afternoon. Seven thousand pounds of hungry players stopped by after practice to polish off 45 made-to-order Jersey Mike's hot and cold subs.

Area native and Bob McMillen, head coach for the Rush and former COD and Benedictine University standout player, took his team to the Wheaton Jersey Mike's location to shoot a promo for sandwich franchise.

"These guys don't make a lot of money, so when a place like Jersey Mike's comes in and helps us out and really supports the football team it's just great" said McMillen. Chicago area Jersey Mike's stores are sponsors of the Chicago Rush football team, which recently opened its 2012 season. The next home game for the Rush (2-0) is at 7 p.m. Friday, Apr. 7 against the Kansas City Command at the AllState Arena in Rosemont.
