Pay Your Grocer Now or Your Doctors Now and Later

Is your food making you sick? Can you afford the doctor bills when your body breaks down because you think it's expensive to eat healthy?

Hello Ladies! And yes I am directing this to the ladies.  When you read the post you will understand - come on guys - I dare you!Women make most of the health care decisions....

With the holidays quickly approaching how are you going to handle the food part this year?  A lot of us give ourselves a pass starting in a couple weeks with Halloween.  Well, we think, just a few pieces of candy for nostalgia sake; or I just "can't" resist; or I deserve it or whatever excuse you choose to justify your behavior.  Most of us continue this way right up through January 1st, after gaining the Seasonal 7 (plenty to be said about that in future blogs), we make a New Year's Resolution, lose 2-3 pounds, feel better and go about our life as before, in a cloud about what we are feeding our body every day and wondering why we feel awful most of the time.

So, have you been to your doctor recently?  Has she had all the answers you were looking for?  Or did she just prescribe another pill for a symptom? Maybe IBS? Menopause? Fatigue? All over body pain, muscle pain? Let me guess...your insurance pays for that...and who pays for your insurance and the ever increasing deductibles?

The simple answer here is to answer the question - what are you feeding your body?  If you look at your food as the ingredients to make a new cell, or repair an old one, are you giving the cell everything it needs to make that happen? Our body is designed to be self-healing and self-regulating, but if we are not feeding it the right ingredients how can that happen? Ask yourself, are the foods I'm eating creating health or sickness and malaise?

Vegetables, fruits, and lean protein have the ingredients our body's need to rest and repair most efficiently.  You say, "It's EXPENSIVE to eat healthy".  My challenge to you is that the medical care you will need is far more costly than the groceries you will buy this week.  For example Aldi has a 3 pound bag of apples for $1.99 and 3 pounds of ground beef for $6.49! (It's not the leanest but you can drain the fat.)  3 pounds of beef goes a long way and is WAY cheaper and healthier than the fast food burger you just whoofed down for $3.

Does your insurance pay for your groceries? Nope, only when you get SICK! Another blog for another day...

So, again, I offer the challenge to you.  Pay your grocer or pay your doctors...your choice...
