Wheaton Municipal Band to Hold Auditions, Kick Off 2012 Season

The Wheaton Municipal Band kicks off its 2012 summer season on Thursday, June 7, at 8:00 p.m. at the bandshell in Wheaton’s Memorial Park.  Band auditions will take place on Sunday May 27 at Wheaton’s City Hall.  Musicians wishing to audition should check the band’s web site at www.wheatonmunicipalband.org.  Auditions include sightreading and prepared selections. Audition music for each instrument is posted in the audition section of the website. Times can be reserved on the web site.

In addition to an exciting 2012 season, the Wheaton Municipal Band has been invited to perform at the Midwest Band Convention held in Chicago this December. This prestigious event invites only the finest bands across the country to participate.  The Wheaton Municipal Band members are honored to have the opportunity to play for top music educators and performers.
