"Great Big Stuff" Is Coming to Wheaton Drama's Playhouse 111

News From Wheaton Drama's Playhouse 111 - Events, Shows, and People

Rehearsals are in progress for Wheaton Drama's 2011-2012 season finale, the Tony nominated musical comedy, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Based on the Michael Caine and Steve Martin movie of the same name, this clever, funny show has book by Jeffrey Lane with music and lyrics by David Yazbek (The Full Monty).

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels follows the entertaining antics of two con men competing on the French Riviera. Suave, polished Lawrence has perfected his own brand of classy con, but the delightfully unrefined Freddy tries to horn in on the action. There's only room for one con man, so the two set a challenge to determine who will stay. The comedy escalates as the men compete to con young Christine Colgate out of $50,000.

Having more fun than should be legal are: Angela Bitner as Lenore/Ensemble; Suzanne Compton as Ensemble; Brianne DeFrang as Usherette/Ensemble; Zach Gibson as Freddy Benson; Michelle Ho as Sophia/Ensemble; Charmaine Jones as Ensemble; Ken Kaden as Andre Thibault; Sara Malloy as Christine Colgate; Jennifer Myers as Jolene Oakes; Rob Reinalda as Lawrence Jameson; Teresa Reinalda as Ensemble; Julie Rodgers-Baker as Renee/Ensemble; Pam Turlow as Muriel Eubanks.
