Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
It was a sunny day when I went to see the latest Harry Potter. But all that changed inside.
I came in 30 seconds after the start - buying popcorn - and I felt like I was intruding on a solemn event. It was quiet, and it wasn't just the audience. It took me a short while to realize what was missing. No background music. That isn't to say the whole movie is that way. But there were several times I noticed the lack of background music.
Another thing of note: This is a dark film. ANd I'm not talking just theme. It was visually dark a fair portion of the time. Enough so that I wonder if my father at age 88 would have trouble watching it.
