Downtown Wheaton Streets To Close for Friday Parade
The 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. temporary closures are for the Dickens of a Christmas Parade.
The city plans to temporarily close several downtown streets from about 5:30 to 7:0 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, for the annual Dickens of a Christmas Lighted Holiday Parade, according to a release the Wheaton Police Department posted on the city’s website. The streets are:
North Wheaton Avenue between West Union Avenue and Front Street.
Front Street between North Wheaton Avenue and North Cross Street.

North Cross Street between Front Street and Wesley Street.
According to the release, uniformed police officers will staff these areas to assist and direct traffic.
