Patch Seeks Student Journalists to Blog

Wheaton Patch is looking for student writers to blog.

Are you a sports fanatic? A news junkie?

Do you write or edit for the Falcon Flyer? Or The Pride?

Whether you’re an expert, a player, a a fan, a student leader the Wheaton community wants to hear from you!

Wheaton Patch is seeking youth bloggers who are interested in sharing their thoughts on local school organizations, sports, photo ops or anything else that hits the desk.

If you have inside information on what goes on in Wheaton, we want you to share it with our readers.

What You Get Out of It

As a Local Voices blogger, you’ll have the ear of local residents, so you can keep the community posted on all of your events, games, fundraisers, news and more. You can post photos and videos, too.

We regularly feature our bloggers on our homepage, so your voice will be heard. And if writing isn’t your thing, Wheaton Patch is also looking for photographers and videographers to send us images of what's going on around town.

If you’ve got a big announcement or an exciting post, we’re happy to feature it on the front page and help you promote it.

It’s your blog, so you get to write what you want.

It’s All About You

This isn't a reporting job. It's blogging. You write what you want to say when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule, whether that means you post multiple entries per day or a couple times a month.

While there's no pay involved, you'll get to put your valuable views on a site that is increasingly serving as a community hub.

If you'd like to chat about the opportunity to share your unique voice with our readers, let me know by emailing me at Charlotte@Patch.com.
