Bra Donation Drive to Benefit Wheaton Shelter

Soma Intimates' bra donation drive will help the Family Shelter Service in Wheaton and raise awareness about domestic violence. The donation drive ends Aug. 12.

Women in need will receive the support they can't always afford as more than 265,000 bras are collected in the Soma Intimates "Giving is Beautiful" Bra Donation to raise awareness about domestic violence.

During the nationwide initiative that started July 9, each of the brand's 192 boutiques and outlets will work with a local women's shelter to provide women with bras. Bras donated to the Soma store in Oakbrook Center will go to the DuPage County Family Shelter Service in Wheaton.

"A bra is one of the least donated, but most in-demand items for women in need," Soma brand president Laurie Van Brunt said in a statement.
