Tiger Trot 5K Race & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk

Tiger Trot 2011 5K Race & 1-mile Fun Run/Walk Kicks Off May 21st

Race proceeds benefit Sharing Connections Furniture Bank.

WHEATON, IL, February 16, 2011 — The Wiesbrook Elementary School PTA welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels to join the parents and students of Wiesbrook Elementary School at our 5K Race & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, May 21st at 7:30a.m.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Sharing Connections Furniture Bank, a non-profit organization that provides furniture and household items to low-income families helping them transform a bare apartment or house into a home.  Most families served are coping with crises like domestic violence, job loss, or financial hardship, with an average annual income of $11,600.

The blacktop course for the race runs through the scenic Arrowhead and Legends subdivisions in which the school is located.  Race start and finish occur at the school where day-of registration will also take place and post-race concessions will be offered.

The Tiger Trot will be chip-timed.  Results will be posted online at www.realtiminginc.com.

Registration forms can be found online at http://www.cusd200.org/wiesbrook, and at other locations throughout DuPage county.  Registration costs are $12/person with a $40/family cap.

 

T-shirt orders must be received by 5/4.  A select amount of T-shirts will be available on race day.
