Church Invites Community to its Christmas Village

Church of the Resurrection will host the event this Sunday.

Church of the Resurrection, 935 W. Union St., Wheaton, is offering the community an opportunity to help someone in need by attending its Christmas Village from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, according to the Daily Herald.

The event, which is held at the church, uses decorations and live musical performances from around the world to add an international feel to your Christmas shopping, the Daily Herald reports. A gift catalog offers gift ideas to purchase that will bring joy and lasting benefits to people in need internationally and in the Wheaton area. The gift ideas are intended for families, community groups, children, and individuals.

Also on Sunday, the Church of the Resurrection will present its annual Christmas Festival. That runs from 5 to 8 p.m.
