WILLIE PICKENS TRIO TO PERFORM AT MAYSLAKE

Willie Pickens Jazz Trio to Perform at Mayslake Peabody Estate

Enjoy a sizzling evening of bold jazz by the Willie Pickens Trio during the “WDCB Jazz Salon at Mayslake” on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook.
Pickens’ legacy as a jazz performer and piano powerhouse in Chicagoland stretches over 50 years. His dense chords, percussive attack, and flying solos make his concerts a dynamic treat for the ear.
General seating for the performance — a joint effort of the PianoForte Foundation, WDCB Public Radio and Mayslake Peabody Estate — is $20 per person with a reduced price of $18 for students, seniors over 65 and groups of six or more. Premier seating at cabaret-style tables is $25 per person. Seating opens at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. For tickets, call Mayslake Peabody Estate at 630-206-9566.
Guided tours of Mayslake Hall will be available before the concert at 6:30 p.m. for $5 per person. The tours explore the history of the estate and the restoration projects now benefitting the hall.
Mayslake Peabody Estate is located at 1717 W. 31st St., one-quarter mile west of Route 83.
Good things happen when you explore the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s 60 forest preserves and five education facilities. For information on ways to experience conservation, education and recreation in your neck of the woods, call 630-933-7200 or visit dupageforest.org.
