TWO MEMBERS JOIN FRIENDS FOUNDATION BOARD

Friends of the Forest Preserve adds New Board Members

 The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County recently welcomed Art Littlefield of Naperville  and David Chase of Hinsdale to the board of the  Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, the 501(C)(3) public charity established to raise and administer funds to support the District’s mission of conservation, education and recreation.
      Littlefield holds a Master of Business Administration in finance and has over 35 years of experience as financial-services professional. He currently serves as a trustee for Benedictine University and as a member of the DuPage Workforce Board. His previous volunteer experience includes serving as campaign co-chair for the United Way in Naperville, vice chair of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Community Career Center in Naperville.
      Chase holds a Master of Business Administration in business management and has been named as a Five Star Wealth Manager in Chicago Magazine. In addition to financial services, his professional experience includes time as president of Dana Chase Publications. Chase is a member of the Executives’ Club of Chicago and The Chicago Council on Global Affairs and serves on the board of advisors for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

      Littlefield and Chase will serve three-year terms as leaders of the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. The foundation’s first board member, Ken Bartels of Elmhurst, was appointed in August and will also serve a three-year term. The District’s Board of Commissioners intends to have six board members in place by the end of 2012.
      Established in 1915, the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County manages over 25,000 acres of prairies, woodlands and wetlands. Each year, over 4.3 million visitors enjoy the District’s 60 forest preserves, 145 miles of trails, five education centers, and scores of scheduled programs and events.
