SEE SANTA, MEET ANIMALS DURING “TALONS AND CLAUS" AT WILLOWBROOK WILDLIFE CENTER

"Talons and Claus" at Willowbrook Wildlife Center

On Saturday, Dec. 1 from noon to 3:30 p.m., visit with Santa and his friends and enjoy holiday fun during the “Talons and Claus” open house at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn.
Say hello to Santa and, if you wish, purchase a photo CD or print of your of your visit for $10. Proceeds will support the center’s wildlife rehabilitation efforts. Also during the open house, experience in-person encounters with resident raptors along the exhibit trail as you view other wildlife that lives at Willowbrook. Make a fun craft, warm up with tasty refreshments, and, weather permitting, take a horse-drawn hayride through 40 acres of woodlands and prairies.
Registration is not required, and with the exception of the optional photo with Santa, the event is free. All ages are welcome to attend.
Willowbrook Wildlife Center is located at 525 S. Park Blvd. one mile south of Roosevelt Road. For more information on “Talons and Claus” and other events, call the center at 630-942-6200.
Good things happen when you explore the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s 60 forest preserves and five education facilities. For information on ways to experience conservation, education and recreation in your neck of the woods, call 630-933-7200 or visit dupageforest.org.
