Mayslake Offers Studio Art Class for Teens

MAYSLAKE OFFERS STUDIO ART CLASS FOR TEENS

Teens, bring your artistic inspiration and drawing and painting skills to an open studio setting where an instructor will guide your development. Class meets at Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays Sept. 10 – Dec. 3 except Sept. 24, Oct. 8 and Nov. 19.
      This fast-paced class is exclusively for intermediate and advanced students wishing to focus on drawing and painting skills and creating artwork to enhance their portfolios. Students will work from various photographs, still lifes and more, advancing their technique in various media including pastels, colored pencil, graphite, watercolor, charcoal, acrylic paint and others. In addition to nine studio sessions at Mayslake, the course will include a trip to The Field Museum.

      The course costs $225 per participant, which includes a $25 material fee. For more information or to register, call Mayslake Peabody Estate at 630-206-9566.
