Archery for Active Adults — Try your hand at archery at some of DuPage County’s most scenic preserves. Equipment provided. 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the archery range at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville on Butterfield Road one mile east of Route 59. Ages 50 and up. Free. To register, call

Mayslake Lecture Series — Discover the history of The Ryder Cup, golf’s premier international competition, during a lively lecture by golf professional Peter Longo. 7:30 – 9 p.m. at Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st St. in Oak Brook.
