ELMHURST COLLEGE JAZZ BAND TO PERFORM JUNE 13 AT MAYSLAKE PEABODY ESTATE

Renowned Performance Group a Part of Concert Series at Historic Location

Enjoy a performance by the Elmhurst College Jazz Band during the “WDCB Jazz Salon at Mayslake” on Thursday, June 13 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook.
The Elmhurst College Jazz Band has gained international acclaim through tours to 17 nations and outstanding ratings at several jazz festivals. Under the direction of Doug Beach, this collegiate ensemble regularly performs with visiting artists and has even commissioned a number of original works.
General seating for the performance — a joint effort of the PianoForte Foundation, WDCB Public Radio and Mayslake Peabody Estate — is $20 per person with a reduced price of $18 for students, seniors over 65 and groups of six or more. Premier seating at cabaret-style tables is $25 per person. Seating opens at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Mayslake Peabody Estate is located at 1717 W. 31st St. in Oak Brook. Guided tours of Mayslake Hall will be available before the concert at 6:30 p.m. for $5 per person. The tours explore the history of the estate and the restoration projects now benefitting the hall.
