Priorities in Reforming Public Education: An Economic Perspective

The J. Dennis Hastert Center for Economics, Government, and Public Policy hosts a lecture by Diane Whitmore Schanzenbach, titled "Priorities in Reforming Public Education: An Economic Perspective."

Dr. Schanzenbach is an associate professor in the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University and faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Her research interests include early childhood education; accountability policy; economics of education; obesity; anti-poverty policy; education and health. Her most recent work investigates the impact of school accountability policies on student performance. Diane is currently serving as a "Hastert Fellow."
