Philosophy Lecture by Dr. Merold Westphal

Dr. Merold Westphal will deliver a philosophy lecture titled "Kant, Hegel,
and the Fate of Reason."

Dr. Westphal
has lectured widely in the United States, Europe, China, and Brazil. Modern
Continental philosophy is the focus of his research and writing. A summa cum
laude graduate of Wheaton College, Dr. Westphal has served on the editorial
boards of five academic journals and has edited and/or authored 18 books. Most
recently he taught as an adjunct professor at Fuller Theological Seminary, and
is faculty emeritus at Fordham University, where he was Distinguished Professor
of Philosophy.

His lecture will focus on the dramatic differences between
Kant and Hegel's understandings of reason.

This lecture is the first in
the 2013-2014 Philosophy Speaker Series at Wheaton College. It is free and open
