OSMOCES 2013 is intended to foster
cross pollination between working engineers, scientists, students, educators,
and the maker community.  The web page with more information can be found http://www.osmoces.org/.

In the prior 2011 and 2012 events,
projects were displayed from students at Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and
Naperville high schools.

The event will be fun and
educational for older students.  Expect a wide variety of engineering
content, with a focus this year on manufacturing.  Among others presenters will be:

·
The Museum of Science and Industry will bring
their mobile Fablab.

·
George Bulliss, chief editor of Machinist
Workshop, Home Shop Machinist and Digital Machinist magazines will have a
booth.

·
Also Ron Worth will be explaining Flash Cut
CNC.
