Noble Discontent: A Visit with Louisa May Alcott

Not only an author, Louisa May Alcott was a suffragist, abolitionist, and Civil War nurse. To celebrate Women’s History Month, Debra Ann Miller brings this intriguing figure to Wheaton. In this 45 minute presentation, you’ll discover how she helped to shape our country into a place where women can follow their dreams. Learn of her struggles and successes, her eccentric father and hard-working mother, and about the sisters who inspired Louisa’s most famous work, Little Women.
