LWV Program on Illinois’ Income Tax

Is there a fairer way to
tax the income of Illinois residents than the current flat tax? Does Illinois
have a spending problem, revenue problem or both? The League of Women Voters of
Illinois has answers to these questions. The League is supporting resolutions
in the General Assembly which, if passed, will put a question to amend the
Illinois Constitution on the ballot in November 2014.

Join the Wheaton and
Glen Ellyn Leagues on Thursday, November 21, 2013 to learn more about the
proposed amendment and what it could mean for Illinois and its citizens. The
meeting will be at the Wheaton Park District Community Center, 1777 S.
Blanchard, Wheaton. Doors will open at 7:00 PM for a meet and greet, and the
program begins at 7:30 PM.

The meeting is free and
open to the public.
