LWV Host a Legislative Update: Meet with State Legislators October 17

Members of the Illinois General Assembly return to Springfield for the beginning of the fall veto session on October 22, 2013. The League of Women Voters of Wheaton has scheduled a Legislative Update to give voters an opportunity to hear what our state representatives and state senators consider their most pressing issues. There will be an opportunity for audience members to ask legislators questions concerning issues important to them. 

The following state legislators have accepted the invitation to attend: representatives Jeanne Ives -42,Sandy Pihos -48, Mike Fortner, -49 and senators Tom Cullerton -23, Mike Connelly -21 and Jim Oberweis -25. 

The event will be held onOctober 17, 2013at the Wheaton Park District Community Center, 1777 S. Blanchard Road, Wheaton.  Join us for a meet and greet at 7 PM. The program will be from 7:30-9 PM. The meeting is free and open to the public.
