League of Women Voters and Wheaton Chamber of Commerce to Host Candidate Forum

To better educate voters for the upcoming March 18th General
Primary Election, the Wheaton and Glen Ellyn Leagues of Women Voters and the
Wheaton Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum
on Thursday, February 13th at the Wheaton Park District Community Center, 1777
S. Blanchard Street, Wheaton, Illinois. Eligible candidates for State
Representative Districts 42 and 48 and County Board Districts 4 and 6 have been
invited to participate. The forum is free and open to the public.

An informal Meet and Greet Reception will be
held from 6:30 to 7:00. Following opening statements by the candidates for
State Representative Districts 42 and 48, the audience will have the
opportunity to submit questions in writing from 7:00 to 8:00. Following opening
statements by the Candidates from County Board Districts 4 and 6, the audience
will have the opportunity to submit questions, in writing from 8:10 to 9:30.

These last weeks before Election Day are an
important time for all voters to take advantage of every available opportunity
to have their questions answered by the candidates.  Voting is the one time when all citizens have
an equal say in standing up for the issues and priorities that matter
most.  The League of Women Voters is a
non-partisan organization that does not support or oppose any political party
or candidate but whose purpose is to promote political responsibility through
informed and active participation of citizens in government.
