Race Director University in cooperation with
Captivating Signs of Naperville are presenting the Inaugural Father’s Day
Freedom 5K Run/2 Mile Walk on Sunday, June 15th, in Danada Forest
Preserve (West) Wheaton, IL.

Who:  Father’s Day Freedom 5K Run/2 Mile Walk

What: USA Track & Field State Championship 5K Event – Certified Course

Where:
Danada Forest Preserve (West) – closed course/trail surface.

When: Sunday, June 15, 2014, 9 a.m.

This event was developed to
celebrate fathers and male-figures that play a significant role in the lives of
their children.  This also includes:

guardians, teachers, coaches, mentors and leaders in the community who

individually or collectively have provided time and resources for children.

Join us for a morning filled
with fun, food and entertainment. We will kick off the run with a balloon
launch prior to the start of the run/walk. A portion of the proceeds will go to
benefit Big Brothers & Big Sisters, a non profit organization whose goal is
to help all children reach their potential through professional supported,
one-to-one relationships with volunteer mentors.

Registration is available

until June 1st and then it increase to $40 and $45 on race day.

We will be providing free
shuttle service for runners due to limited parking at this site. Specific
information about this will be available online and in the race packet.

Send us a story or video
about why your dad is great and we will enter you into a free raffle for a pair
of running shoes, sponsored by Dick Pond Athletics.  

Prizes awarded to the top 5 men and women in
the open division and 5 men and women in the masters division, (40 years old
and up).  USA Track & Field members can qualify for double awards, as listed. * 

Packet pick up will be held
on Friday, June 13th and Saturday, June 14th at Dick Pond
Athletics, Inc., 2775 Maple Avenue, Lisle, IL. 

The course is USATF certified and this
is a USA Track & Field Sanctioned event.
