Heroes wanted!

With this year's theme " Be a Hero for
Hope" participants are reminded that through their support and fundraising
efforts, they are helping individuals affected by domestic violence move toward
a safer future. Participants who wish can come dressed as their favorite hero. Form
a team and increase your impact!

New this year -- moustache contest.

Participants are encouraged to grow/manufacture a "stache" for this
year's Run-Walk, as well as the pre-race rally at Mullen's Bar & Grill,
Lisle, on Friday, October 27 -- a fun-filled evening with prizes for the best
"staches."

The Mullens event begins at 7 p.m., with music starting at 8:30 p.m. and

features food and drink specials througout the evening.

There will also be a Kids' Fun Run at the
Run-Walk and other exciting things for the little ones. And with Halloween
right around the corner, kids can come dressed as their favorite hero, too!
There will be prizes for best costumes.

Your support will help ensure that we can
continue to offer service to those in need. With shelter, counseling, advocacy
and support programs, our clients can triumph and become the true heroes. To
register, please visit www.familyshelterservice.org. For more information
about participation, fundraising or sponsorship, please call Karen at
630-221-8290 x7110. Online registration begins the week of July 8th
at www.familyshelterservice.org.
