First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton is holding a women’s retreat on Saturday, February 9th, from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. Invite your mother, daughter or a good friend and embrace yourself in the New Year and “Take Charge” of the life you desire. Workshops include: Looking Inward, It's All About Me, Finding Your Inner Rhythm, and Affirmation Station. The $10 fee includes breakfast, your choice of 2 workshops, your personal Take Charge kit, a journal, session handouts and a notebook. Child care is free and will be provided from 8:00 a.m. - noon.
The retreat begins with breakfast and learning about ways to get “energized” throughout your day. Participants will then attend two breakout sessions. The presenters are Lynne Danekas, Maryanne Kyle-Di Pietropaolo and Henrieta Ribeiro. Lynne, a licensed registered nurse, is a faith-based life coach and is pursuing Spiritual Direction and Healing Touch certifications. Maryanne, a national speaker, facilitator and trainer focuses on small group ministries and faith-based leadership. Henrieta is a trained marriage and family therapist and a Stephen Ministry leader. After the sessions, participants are invited to stay and take time to experience the following:
- Visit the resources tables full of information from local people and groups able to aid and guide you.
- Labyrinth discovery – walk our labyrinth and take time to reflect on your experience and the road ahead.
- Prayer Center – Stephen Ministers will be available to spend time with you in prayer.
