"Religion and Politics in Iraq" Lecture by Canon Andrew White

 


The Reverend Canon Dr. Andrew White, Chaplain of St. George's Anglican Church in Baghdad, will share an update on the current state of religion and politics in Iraq on Wednesday, January 16 at 7 p.m. A Q&A session will follow the lecture.


White has led St George's Church since 1998. He is also the founder and president of the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East, which exists to support his unique reconciliation-promoting work in the heart of Baghdad's Red Zone. White is the recipient of numerous awards and international recognitions for his dedication to the pursuit of peace. He is the author of several books, including Faith under Fire (Monarch, 2011) and The Vicar of Baghdad (Monarch, 2009).White was the Commencement speaker at Wheaton in May 2012.
