A friend of mine is doing this and I have decided to help him raise money for cancer I too have lost many speical people to Cancer and I dont want to quit raising money for research!! here is his story:
A few years ago I was facing life's typical obstacles, released from a job, turning 40 and in need of some direction. I embarked on a 6,227 mile bicycling trip from Chicago to Miami to Los Angeles and back to Chicago and it changed my life. The last time I rode I devoloped quite a following, nearly 2,500 followers by it's end and I was riding quitely across the country without a cause.
This time it will be different, I recently lost a close family member to cancer and that changed my life also, so I've decided to journey again but this time with a purpose. This time I will be riding to raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer and all cancers for that matter.
The Waterfront Dogs will be playing live it will be $10 well spent so come out and rock with us for a great cause!!

I will be riding from Times Square NY to Los Angeles CA. The first leg of the trip will be from NY to Chicago and from Chicago I will pick up historic Route 66 and ride out to LA. There are many people who have riden across the country so to grab the attention of everyone I pass I will be pedaling the entire way in a pink Elvis jumpsuit.
It is said that 1 woman dies every thirteen minutes due to breast cancer. This disease needs to be stopped, so please join me on my ride from to help raise awareness and finances to defeat breast cancer.
