A Musical Shabbat Service

On Friday evening, March 21st, the Life Tree Ramblers, an all-volunteer band at Congregation Etz Chaim of Du Page County, will perform at the synagogue's family Shabbat service, beginning at 7:30 pm. The synagogue is located at 1710 S. Highland Avenue, Lombard. All are welcome and admission is free. The Life Tree Ramblers, founded by the synagogue's Associate Rabbi, Andrea J. Cosnowsky, play upbeat musical renditions of sacred texts and prayers throughout the Shabbat service. The band's name reflects the name of the congregation, Etz Chaim, Hebrew for "Tree of Life." An Oneg Shabbat (Joy of the Sabbath) reception follows the service. For more information call the synagogue office at 630-627-3912 or go to www.congetzchaim.org
