6th Annual Music in the Park

Public Invited to 6th Annual Music in the Park

The 6th Annual Music in the Park concert will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, at Memorial Park, 208 West Union Street in Wheaton. This event is free and open to the public.

The concert, hosted by the Folk-Lore Center, the City of Wheaton, the Wheaton Fine and Cultural Arts Commission and the Wheaton Park District, is a platform for musicians specializing in acoustic music. This year's artists include:
  • Chris Vallillo, a singer/songwriter and instrumentalist with an affinity for American roots music.
  • Jacob Sweet who combines pop, rock and other soulful and soaring vocals with agile guitar playing.
  • John Williams, one of the foremost players of Irish music today with five "All-Ireland" titles to his credit.
Sponsors for this event include First Trust Portfolios, Wheaton Bank & Trust Company and Farmer's Insurance--Budd Smith Agency.

The concert will be held at Memorial Park and, in the event of rain, will be held across the street at Gary United Methodist Church, directly east of the park. For more information, call 630-393-1247.
