Wheaton North to Welcome New Principal in 2014

District 200 is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Matthew Biscan as the new Principal at Wheaton North High School beginning with the 2014-15 School Year. Mr. Biscan will replace retiring Principal Ms. Jill Bullo on July 1, 2014. 

Mr. Biscan has served in the school’s Dean’s Office for five years and as the current Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Technology for ten years. Prior to coming to District 200, Mr. Biscan served as a science teacher, physical education teacher and Assistant Dean of Students at Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, IL. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Secondary Education from Indiana University – Bloomington and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from Governors State University.

Mr. Biscan says that he loves being an educator because it gives him the opportunity to impact students through positive relationships and engage students in becoming thoughtful, 21st century learners. Mr. Biscan is “looking forward to continuing the great work that our students, faculty and staff have always done while working collaboratively to develop new and evolving ideas that strengthen the learning experience for all of our students.” There has always been a high standard of excellence at Wheaton North and Mr. Biscan says that he is humbled and honored to continue that tradition into the future.

Superintendent Dr. Brian Harris also shares Mr. Biscan’s excitement about his new leadership role at Wheaton North High School. “Mr. Biscan has proven that he is a high quality leader who relates to all stakeholders at Wheaton North. I know that Mr. Biscan will continue to ensure that students are engaged in challenging, 21st century learning environment and that all students are prepared for the college of their choice or the career they desire,” says Harris.
