Warrant Issued for Wheaton Man Indicted in Home Construction Scheme

A $250,000 warrant is out for 57-year-old Ronald Moore of Wheaton for his alleged role in a new home construction scheme.

Wheaton's Planning and Zoning Board voted 6-1 in favor of a recommendation to approve a developer's application for a planned unit development (PUD) at 219 Parkway Drive to allow construction of a senior living facility. City Council will vote on the PUD May 7.

The City's website provides a list of which streets will be resurfaced in Wheaton. Some of the work began this week.

The Planning and Zoning Board held a public hearing Tuesday to hear from developers proposing to build a senior living facility at Courthouse Square in downtown Wheaton.

The quick service coffee shop and eatery celebrated its one-year anniversary last month and introduced a new blended drink line this week. They will host a cookout in conjunction with the French Market this morning to kick off their new Saturday hours.

Watergate figure and ministry founder Charles Colson was instrumental in the founding of the prison ministry at the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College. The college released a statement after his death Saturday, Apr. 21.

The annual event featured expert kite performers, who showed their skills flying kites synced with music Saturday at Graf Park.

The Wheaton Warrenville South Classics Show Choir won the FAME National Championship for the second consecutive year last weekend.

The life of West Chicago Mayor Mike Kwasman was honored and remembered Sunday, Apr. 22. He was also honored by the Illinois Patriot Guard as a former policeman, fire fighter and committed supporter of veterans.
