Wheaton Park District Supports Heart Healthy February

Wheaton Park District honors National Heart Month with events at the community center, Wear Red Day! and 'Rockin' Red!' zumbathlon.

Research says there are three keys ways to create a healthy heart: manage your diet, watch your blood pressure and get plenty of regular exercise. The Wheaton Park District wants to help.

  • February 1-28 – Walk the red track at the Community Center and contribute to the American Heart Association! For every mile logged on the track in February, Nova Chiropractic will donate fifty cents to the American Heart Association--up to $250! During the month of February, everyone is welcome to walk the track during regular track hours. Thanks to Nova Chiropractic for sponsoring this special event! 
  • February 1– Wear Red Day! This year marks the 10th anniversary of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” movement. 
  • February 23 – “Rockin’ Red!” Zumbathon at the Wheaton Park District Community Center, from 1-2:30pm. (Childcare available.)
